“Essenza” Italian for Essence

In 2003 we opened Essenza Coffee Co. – A specialist roastery and café – on SH1 just north of Cambridge.

The roasting division became a separate entity in June 2005. Involving an exciting relocation project, we undertook the conversion of a disused cowshed on a diary farm 11km from Morrinsville.
Essenza Coffee Co now proudly operates from “The Coffee Shed”, a purpose built premise where our focus is to provide exceptionally good coffee and consistently high customer service.

Life is too short to drink bad coffee…. to make great coffee you need perfectly roasted beans.
We are excited to share our passion and knowledge on all aspects of coffee making and roasting to ensure our customers enjoy the pleasure of a great cup of coffee every time.
